The mouth of Dago Creek is deep and sheltered enough to act as the local boat harbor for the Ugashik fishing fleet and local villagers alike. In 1990, a seawall-style bulkhead was built on the eastern shore which provides facilities for mooring and launching vessels, as well as a source of electrical power from the village Pilot Point, nearby.

Mooring lines and anchors on the western shore are used by Smoky Point-side residents for vessels and fishing gear.
