C.S.E.B. West bank, Hasdev Thermal Power Station:-

The Hasdeo Thermal Power Station is located at a distance of 9 KM. from the main city and is near the Hasdeo Barrage. It's construction was started in the year 1981. Electricity generation from the first unit of 210 MW capacity, commenced from 21st June 1983. After this, three more units, each of 210 MW. Capacity, were commissioned within an internal of 1 year. The total capacity of this power station is 840 MW.
The total project cost of that time was Rs.650 crores. At present 2792 officers and workers are working in this plant.
