Built in the 1980s? by Otter Tail Power Company and connects to Minnkota Power Cooperative's Center-Maple River 345kV line (the line was extended west to OTP's Coyote Station to 'wheel' power to this and one other substation). Three circuits extend from here - a 115kV loop extending east towards Spiritwood and passing back through Jamestown, one 41.6kV circuit extending north to the Carrington area, and one long 41.6kV circuit that skirts Jamestown before heading to Gackle.
