This town was founded in 1913 as a station on the Midland Continental Railroad in Section 28-136-64, Kennison Township about midway between Edgeley and Jamestown, and named for a Belgian investor in the railroad. The post office was established February 8, 1913. The Zip Code is 58473, and the population has generally been about 100. The post office became a rural branch of Jud on September 30, 1963, and changed to a rural branch of Jamestown on May 2, 1964.
