 park, place with historical importance

Love and Tranquility place. In this Park in 1682 William Penn and Lenape Indians made what is known as Penn Treaty. They met here under Great Elm Tree a place they called Shackamaxon, now Fishtown.
Good Place to see fireworks, relax. The statue of William Penn on top of the city hall tower was constructed facing this beautiful and historic park.
