Snow White's Wishing Well (Anaheim, California)

USA / California / Garden Grove / Anaheim, California

In this picturesque and charming little niche of the park, you'll find a wishing well set on a bridge over Sleeping Beauty's castle moat; the wishing well is gorgeous and brings back child-hood memories of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; and if you look to the rock face accross the water, you'll see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Statues that were sent as a gift to Walt Disney by a very talented and annonymous sculpture, were examined for over a year to ensure their family friendliness, were put up in the park, and sit in their own grotto on multiple levels. The statues seem to be in proportion right? nope, they are placed especially with their surroundings to use 'forced perspective', a technique that makes Main Street USA and Sleeping Beauty Castle seem to tower amazingly tall, when in fact, the statue of Snow White is barely taller than the dwarfs. Every few minutes, Snow White sings a lovely lullaby, "I'm wishing", listen... what's that in the fountain? you'll have to visit the spot to find out. Enjoy!
