The river was shortened for the 2016 construction of the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land. The shorter Rivers of America reopened in Summer 2017 with the brand new Columbia River Gorge and a new relocated Indian Village.

  • Wow! Also, for all I know, they drained out the river for the boats' refurbishment. No Fantasmic for awhile!
  • the rivers had a major refurb in the early part of 2010 to update and replace items along the river... fantasmic had work done too
