Montana Rail Link crosses the Yellowstone River on this bridge, which had been part of Northern Pacific's mainline between Minnesota and the West Coast. MRL has operated this line since 1989, serving southern Montana and reaching west to Spokane WA.
There were a total of 10 railroad lines built across the Yellowstone River, of which 5 remain in use.
