Pachnada (Confluence of five rivers)

This place is situated in Etawah District of UP . Four rivers( Chambal, Pahuj,Sind,Kuwari) merge in Yamuna at this place called pachnada which in local dialect means a place where five rivers meet or form a conflux.

  • Interesting; non-perinneals,coming from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan & near Gujarat and Southern U.P., also and meet the perinneal-river, Yamuna, from Glaciers of Himalayas!!! It took for me, few hours, only, after studying the 'image', from 'wikimapia'.

  • this can not be panchanada many of local rivers make confluence in hill region so this can not be panch nada but in local language it is correct.
  • It is at this place the River Chambal again gives life to the Holy River YAMUNA coming from the Himalayas.
