Beautiful lakes located at the end of Sardine Lake Road. Lower lake is accessible by car by taking hwy 49 to Bassetts and then taking Gold Lake Highway to Sardine Lake turnoff (approx 0.5 miles up the road from turnoff...comes up on left).
Upper Sardine Lake is accessible with high clearance 4-wheel drive or by foot. The southwest end of the lake is right up against the foot of the Sierra Buttes. The following link provides additional information:
