Somerville Lake (commonly known as Lake Somerville) is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-managed reservoir on Yegua Creek in the Brazos River basin, 10 miles northwest of Brenham, Texas. The lake extends into portions of Burleson, Washington, and Lee Counties, with The dam in Washington County.
The reservoir was officially impounded in 1967, and although its primary function is to provide flood control and irrigation water for the communities downstream, it is also a popular recreational destination, and has been stocked with species of fish intended to improve the utility of the reservoir for recreational fishing.
