5-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1878. It is clad in pale red brick on the east elevation above a ground floor lined with metal-and-glass storefronts. The south facade on 57th Street is faced in peach-colored smooth-stucco; it is divided into two halves, with the a storefront continuation at the ground floor on the east half. The storefront projects out here to the south, with a low-sloped metal roof and a low grey granite base below the large windows; there is a metal-and-glass entrance door in the west side of the projecting section. To the west of the storefront the west half of the ground floor has two window openings (filled in with opaque white panels), with a basement entry below one of them, and the main entrance to the upper floors at the west end. It is recessed, with glass double-doors and a fanlight set under a molded round-arch.

On the upper floors both the west and east halves of the south facade have three bays of single-windows with light-grey stone surrounds, but the east half has taller windows. A brown metal fire escape runs up the middle, covering the two inner bays, and a metal vent pipe runs to the right of the fire escape. A pair of black metal roof cornices cap the facade, the east one set slightly higher. They both have console brackets and modillions, and the vent pipe wraps over and around the east cornice.

The upper floors along the avenue have beige stone quoins at the south edge. The south bay of single-windows is separated from the next four single-window bays by a decorated, projecting chimney shaft beginning halfway up the 2nd floor; it has various segments of paneling, corbelling, and stone banding, extending up to the roof line. At the north half of the facade are six bays of single-windows set closer together than those to the south. All of the windows have simple stone sills and lintels. Three fire escapes run down this facade, which is crowned by a metal roof cornice like those on the south facade. The ground floor is occupied by Justino's Pizzeria, Manhattan Tobacco newsstand, Arrow Pharmacy, El Burrito Box, and Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast.
