This is a compressed diamond interchange between Interstate 77/81 and Frontage Road 326 (Ready Mix Road) between Wytheville and Fort Chiswell, Virginia. Just beyond the interchange, Frontage Road 42 (Chapman Road) and Frontage Road 43 (East Lee Highway) run parallel to the interstate. U.S. Routes 11 and 52 overlap Interstates 77 and 81 through the interchange. The interchange was constructed around 1985 and was the final interchange to be built along the original I-81. It has not been significantly modified since.
