This estate is one of the most integral Moscow architectural ensembles in the style of classicism. The estate was built at the end of the 18th century and includes the main house, two lateral wings, the courtyard outside Malaya Nikitskaya street, the fencing which connected them with the central case, and also two wings that extended out towards Granatny Lane (which no longer exist and in their place three-story buildings were constructed in 1889).

After the fire of 1812 the main house and a wing were restored in 1820s and, despite a number of Empire-style alterations, the ensemble has kept its former monumental sizes and the refined decorative details.

The main house is a stone three-story building of palace type, which includes in the central part what appears to be the remains of a smaller, mid 18th century structure.
