Vauxhall (pronounced 'Vok-zal') is an area of the London Borough of Lambeth home to one of London's busiest bus stations at Vauxhall Cross and a famous MI6 building. The area has new developments on the riverside and the houses of several MPs since it is close to Westminster, as well as some gay venues. It is also the origin of Vauxhall Motors, one of the largest car brands in the UK. It is possible that the Russian word for a railway terminal - 'Vokzal' - originates from here.
