Mudhouse Mansion is a regionally-known abandoned house located in Fairfield County, just east of Lancaster, at 4730 Mudhouse Road.
It's a very imposing, impressive place built into a hill, with a number of outbuildings surrounding it. With its empty windows, isolated location and privacy-obsessed owner, Mudhouse Mansion practically screams haunted house, and it is reported to be haunted.
The property was demolished in 2016 by the owners despite years of pleas from historical preservation groups to do something to save it.
