Botanical Gardens/ Jawahar Bal Bhavan (Puducherry)

The famous Pondicherry Botanical Gardens.
Also knows as Le Jardin in french. Established and maintained by the French till 1947, then taken over the the Government of Pondicherry. The Botanical garden as the name implies houses a large variety of plants, flora and good old trees of ages. the whole garden is green with thick plantation and ingarden roads. This is a very good place of recreation for the public. For the children there is a small children train and track in the garden.
FLOWER SHOW is one of the most important event that happens here as a tradition at the third or fourth week of Feb yearly. In this exhibition a large range of flowers and plants are displayed and sold at the end of the day. the event is usually for a three days duration.
