The first proper depot for the LTS once it was established as a railway in its own right. Steam Locomotives and rolling stock were maintained here until the elctrification of the District line after which it became something of a problem to pass safely over the electrified lines in order to get to their own lines. The depot closed shortly after but only moved literally across the tracks to a much larger and purpose built depot
