Open to the public (for now). Attended 0800-sundown local time. Long term future of this field is somewhat in doubt due to the presence of the USN submarine base at Kings Bay just to the north. NOTAMS and Special TFRs frequently disrupt operations at the field. Permanent closure of the field was feared in the immediate post 9-11 months. Check NOTAMs & TFRs and communicate clearly all intentions while operating in the area.
