Commisioned in 1961. It replaced the outdated Dale Mabry Field, which was located in the area where where Tallahassee Community College is today.

The current terminal building, called the Ivan Munroe Terminal, opened in 1989. The terminal has fourteen gates, 7 "A Gates" A1-A7 and 7 "B Gates" B1-B7.
