  • The official FAA indentifier is "TPA". Ticketing websites use "TPA" also. For some reason, local news organizations have a habit of saying "TIA" (i.e. abbreviating the name) instead.
  • Ya, I tried plugging "TIA" into one of the travel websites when I was looking for a flight, and it turns out that it actually refers to an airport in India.
