There used to be brick works about 1/2 mile south of here with a goods track going to that, parallel to the current two passenger tracks - now gravel pits just south of the level crossing (which was manned by a local signalbox until the mid 1970's with old fashioned gates).
Oxshott heath adjoins the railway at this point on the west side.

Oxshott railway station serves the village of Oxshott, in Surrey, England. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by South West Trains. It is situated on the New Guildford Line, and is served by trains from London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham.

At present on Monday to Saturday there are two trains per hour to Guildford from Oxshott station. This train stops at Cobham and Stoke D'abernon, Effingham Junction, Horsley, Clandon, London Road Guildford and Guildford (terminus).

There are also two trains per hour on Monday to Saturday from Oxshott to London Waterloo. This train stops at Claygate, Hinchley Wood, Surbiton, Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and London Waterloo (terminus).

There is one additional train during the morning (to London) and evening (to Guildford) peak period, Monday to Friday. This 'extra' train does not stop at stations between London Waterloo and Surbiton in either direction.

On Sundays there is just one train per hour in each direction.
