    Even busier than Newcastle Central station, Woking's railway station is an important commuter stop and is less than half an hour away from London Waterloo via train. I hear they have been woking on a canopy on the northern side of the station.

    Beware - Platform 3 is a long walk from the footbridge: you have to walk the entire length of Platform 2/4 to get to it. It's not uncommon to see latecomers running down the platform having underestimated the distance.
