Chingford Station stands on the edge of Epping Forest, serving the town and the daytrip destinations in the forest it was intended to conquer. It is the terminus of a branch from the Lea Valley Lines and the next station on the line towards Liverpool Street is Highams Park. The typical off-peak service is 4tph to Liverpool Street.

  • There's a large gap between Chingford and Highams Park which could be plugged with a new station at Chingford Hatch. There's no freight on the line so as long as all trains stop there it wouldn't cause timetable problems, and it would be possible (as far as you can tell from up here) to build a station there.
