General location of the USS Weehawken. The Weehawken was a turreted Passaic-class Monitor ironclad of the United States Navy. She took part in many engagements. Weehawken lay anchored off Morris Island during a gale on 6 December 1863. She sank with four officers and 27 enlisted men.
