Spruce Island (Regina)

Man-made island created in 1931 during the first dredging and deepening of Wascana Lake. Enlarged in the 2004 deepening.

Unlike the similarly sized Willow Island, Spruce Island was left undeveloped to provide a habitat for birds and other wildlife. It is mostly covered in forest, but there are some foot paths accessible by a dock on the south-east corner of the Island
