Middle to upper-middle income subdivision, developed during the 1960s. A low crime rate, above average household income and high rate of home ownership make this one of Regina's more desireable neighbourhoods.

The Whitmores were one of Regina’s pioneer families. The Whitmore family came to Moose Jaw in 1883 and settled in Regina in 1888. The brothers Frank, Albert and George participated fully in the life of the city and province as entrepreneurs. Albert Whitmore served a term as a member of the Saskatchewan Legislature. Their large farm south of Regina would become the Whitmore Park subdivision. Whitmore Brothers Ltd., general coal agents, was formed in 1904 by the three brothers, and the company quickly diversified into other business ventures, constructing a warehouse at 1708 8th Avenue for revenue-generation.
