Alushta - city small, the population of it makes all 38 thousand person (1995), however as a resort widely known, on the popularity concedes on Southern coast, perhaps, only to Yalta.

The sea at Алушты, as well as along all Southern coast, never freezes, in a swimming season storm is rare. Beaches good, fine pebble and sandy.
