Originally the Girard Trust Company/Mellon Bank, the shorter domed building, a replica of the Pantheon in Rome, was built in 1908 and designed by McKim, Mead & White. The tower was added in 1930 and rises 30 floors to a height of 394 ft (120.1 m). Converted to a luxury hotel in 2000.
