even now, decades after I was here, freshmen are requird to carry a rock from the campus up to here to add to the M. then upperclass stubets whitewash the rock (and the new students).

  • Each year the Freshmen have to climb up from the Valley with a large rock and add it to the M. Upper classmen drive up with white wash and repaint the M and any frosh who get in the way.
