The monument was unveiled on October 12, 1897 and has a triumphant concept. Combine around a high granite obelisk sitting on a cubic base, symbolic elements in bronze representing the top an eagle with outstretched wings, holding in its beak a banner. At the base of the monument there are statues of four hunters in battle scenes, along with the goddess Victoria.
It was installed after bombing (1954) on the square next to Ploiesti overpass and then (1980) in the center of the roundabout in front of the South Railway Station in Ploiesti.
