The mountain hut (1,430 m) is one of the most popular mountain refuges in the Balkan Mountains.
It is located on the southern slopes of the mountain's highest peak - Botev, in an area that is famous for its beauty. The hut is built on a small green terrace bathed in sunlight and fenced by a dense forest of old beech trees down from the south. Above the hut the hillside climbs steeply up until it reaches an immense wall of vertical grey rocks - a giant threshold of some mythical house hidden in the clouds above. The waters of the melting snows fall down from these high cliffs forming a beautiful waterfall. Its name is Rayskoto Praskalo.
