The main house was constructed in the 1820s or 1820s. It was remodeled in 1884 by the architect Alexander Kaminsky and then again in the 1920s.

In the years 1892-1893. An apartment here was rented to NS Zverev, a professor at the Moscow Conservatory, who taught Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Igumnov.

Until 2007, the building housed the Embassy of Japan at the moment there is a residence of Japanese ambassador.
