Add category
A mid seventies addition to Gloucester Park. The northern section follows the line of the stream that is the main 'branch' of the beginnings of the River Crouch. The island to the south remains as it covers three or four large manhole/drains - further examples of these can be seen on the southern bank of the stream to the east of the lake.
This lake is a good day ticket water, holding large carp, bream and other species.
The hill to the east of the lake is made from the earth excavated to make the lake.
