Home of the Michigan Army National Guard 1-182nd Field Artillery Battalion. The unit was previously based at the Detroit Artillery Armory on West Eight Mile near Greenfield and moved to this building in the early 1990s.
This site was previously occupied by Olympia Stadium, home of the Detroit Red Wings from 1927 to 1979. The stadium also hosted boxing, basketball, concerts and other events.
