Residence built c. 1740 as a Quaker farmhouse on 13 acres of land later owned by H.R. Post. It subsequently became part of the farm group of "Wheatly" for Edward Dennison Morgan, III. His son Edward Dennison Morgan, IV {financier} inherited the home and expanded it to become a country residence. Morgan served as a partner of the Frederick Whitney & Co. stock brokerage firm. It was more recently owned by Randall LeBouf.
