Wynnewood Refining Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gary-Williams Energy Corporation. The summer of 1995 Gary-Williams purchased a 45,000 barrel per day petroleum refinery located in Wynnewood, Oklahoma from Kerr-McGee Corporation. Wynnewood Refining Company was created at that time as the subsidiary company to operate the refinery. The refining capacity has since been increased to 50,000 barrels per day of crude oil processed.
The company directly employs 185 people in this rural, south-central Oklahoma community and supplies gasoline, diesel, JP-8 and JP-5 jet fuel, asphalt, LPG, and solvents to customers in Oklahoma and the mid-continent area.
