Clapham Common tube station is the most centrally located station in Clapham and is served by the Northern Line trains to Edgware, High Barnet normally via Bank (sometimes via Charing Cross). The station's clame to fame is that it has a single platform tunnel with two tracks on either side of an island platform - the original layouts for such stations (there's another example at Clapham North, and there used to be at Angel) although it has to be said that standing on the platform with trains departing on either sides of you isn't the most settling experience!
