Clapham (Clappum), in the London Borough of Lambeth, is a suburban area in Inner London. For along time this was an expensive place to live, but after the coming of the railway it became developed as a suburb for commuters and fell from favour of the upper-classes and later became known as a typical suburban area. Historically it was in Surrey.

Comments

  • This is a place where you see real people working and enjoying the suburbs. The upper classes haven't left yet, they are the reason the council keeps the streets clean
  • Whatever the reason the council keeps the streets clean, at least they are cleaned, which has to be a good thing.
