mansion / manor house / villa, Grade I Listed (UK)
This 16th century manor was founded by Sir William Petre, Secrety of State for four Tudor royals. This stunning building still retains its Tudor identity through its architecture and is noted for its two priest's hiding places. The hall has many collections of family portraits, fine furniture and other memorabilia that have grown with 15 generations of the Petre family; who still reside here.
