City Hall Park is one of the oldest historical parts of New York City. It is where the George Washington had the Declaration of Independence read to the troops of the Continental Army on July 9th 1776 to inspire them, it was where Alexander Hamilton put together the oldest unit of the American Army, and it was where 15,000-20,000 African Americans were buried after passing because they weren't allowed to be buried in the church yards.
