The monument "Mother Bulgaria" was erected to mark the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria. The statue was made by the sculptor Dimitar Boykov and the architect Atanas Atanasov, and represents a female figure, who breaks slave chains, and a stylized "century-old tree" in the background, with a height of 27 m.
