Chemical plant manufactures styrene monomer (sold to customers in North America for manufacture of a variety of commercial and consumer products such as cassette/CD cases, food containers, home insulation, safety helmets and car interiors) and mono-ethylene glycol (primarily shipped to customers in Asia for use in making products such as polyester fibers, plastic drinking bottles, adhesives and inks). Most of the raw ingredients, primarily benzene, comes from the adjacent Scotford refinery.
