Built in 1683-1688 as a church of the gate of the southern gate.
Gate Church of the Intercession of the Virgin (Pokrov.) Although built during the same time period as the northern entrance (1683 1688), the Gate Church of the Intercession is neither as high nor as ornate as its sister across the courtyard. It is topped by three domes, which rise from narrowing octagons and opens into the new cemetery.
