A sapling KITS – planted in 1985 at the behest of former Prime Minister, late P.V. Narasimha Rao and named after the great poet Kavikulguru Kalidas.

The great visionary and philanthropist late Sri. V. Rajeshwara Rao garu, founder Chairman, Vodithala Education Society readily consented to establish KITS at this serene and small town of Ramtek with an aim to provide technical education to the students from the rural areas. KITS has established a niche for her in the fields of technological, managerial & Architectural education and known for excellence in the field of education. The gist of lord Krishna’s preaching “Shraddhavan Labhathe Dnyanam” forms the motto and the guiding spirit of the Institute.

Taking a step further KITS has joined a higher league of institutions by offering 3-post graduate courses in engineering i.e. M.Tech(Structures), M.Tech(Electronics), M.Tech( Heat Power) with effect from the session 2010-11.
