This is not Kohoj , it is Koch Fort. Amit, Akshay, Pradeep & Tajji trekked this difficult mountain on 13/08/06 .

  • good to be here in the cooler time of the year
  • we had gone here recently... one can get plenty of buses to wada from thane (2hrs 15 min) from wada take a tempo (10/- bucks) and get down at waghote from there u can follow the track right up the hill take plenty of drinks/food with u ans nothing is available in waghote!
  • Ya it is Kohoj fort. it is said that there was Killedar(fort incharge)with surname Kohojkar in army of Peshway. there after fort is known as Kohojkilla.

  • THIS IS KOHOJ FORT DATED BACK IN 1680, BUILD BY SHIVAJI,USED TO BE A STOPOVER WHILE GOING TO SURAT FOR 'LOOT'.
