  • Private airport, grass strip, elevation 14 feet, length listed at 1,800 feet, actually about 3,000 usable, north end in better condition than south end. Unlighted, runways are 17 (right hand pattern) and 34 (left hand pattern) for noise abatement. No facilities, bring your own tie-downs and anchors. OK for taildraggers and ultralights, for tricycle gear airplanes practice your short field/soft field skills before you land here. Surface has some rough spots and some soft spots so don't just try to plonk it down anywhere. Note also there is no fence, watch for possible wildlife, ATV activity, delivery/service vehicles told not to cross or enter the runway but they do anyway. Southward departures occasionally unavailable by NOTAM during Shuttle launches, arrive and depart from/to north at those times. Field is officially unattended but there is some development at the north-west end, so if you have an emergency there is likely to be someone around to assist you.
