Ousteri Lake "has been recognized as one of the important wetlands of Asia by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN)" and is the "most important freshwater lake in the Pondicherry region".     It is a beautiful lake, with nice breeze and cool place. I am residing in Villinur 5 min from my house, it has boating, restaurant, playing field for kids
