  • Probably related to the Whitney Estate. It looks like it sits on their property.
  • The Whitney's used to have a mile long race track on the property, my guess is it sat somewhere in between this stable and their larger stable that is now part of NYIT.

  • It very well might be part of Applegreen. Dorothy Whitney married the man who bought Applegreen from its original owner. Whitney was W.C. Whitney's daughter, and his massive estate was right next door. I have a feeling that the property was carved out of Whitney land. Whitney was here around 1895 and the house at Applegreen was erected in 1913.
