Robert Early Strawbridge, Jr. was the grandson of Justus C. Strawbridge, a founder of the Strawbridge and Clothier department store chain of Philadelphia. c. 1935 by William Lawrence Botttomley. Strawbridge was one of the early leading members of the River Club of New York in Manhattan.
